Clinical review and health service investigation into paediatric gender health services, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service

On 28 January 2025, Queensland Health commissioned a clinical review and health service investigation into paediatric gender health services at the Cairns Sexual Health Service, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS).

The clinical review will examine paediatric gender health services provided to children and adolescents at the Cairns Sexual Health Service and will inform the health service investigation.

The clinical review is scheduled to be completed by 30 April 2025.

The health service investigation will investigate and report on matters relating to the administration, management and delivery of paediatric gender health services at the Cairns Sexual Health Service.

The health service investigation is scheduled to be completed by 30 June 2025.
