See Me. Hear Me. Respect Me. Campaign Resources
Around 1 in 5 Australians live with disability, and around 1 in 3 people with disability in Queensland live with a severe or profound disability. Accessing healthcare may be challenging for disabled people because they face attitudinal, physical, communication and financial barriers via other people and in society. To raise awareness of the communication needs of people with disability - particularly among healthcare workers - Queensland Health asked Queenslanders with Disability Network to co-design the "See Me. Hear Me. Respect Me." campaign with us. Together, we created videos, posters and fact sheets to help people with disability be seen, heard, and respected for who they are every time they access healthcare.
