Queensland Health is launching an exciting pilot expansion of the Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme to improve access to essential assistive technology for some of the state’s most vulnerable residents.
MASS Equipment Services is commencing a new Standing Offer Arrangement (MSHHS122552) for approved equipment (Daily Living and Mobility Aids) from 1 July 2024.
The Static Bathing and Toileting Aids (BTA) application process has been updated in MASS-eApply. These categories are included within the MASS-eApply forms – Daily Living Aids and Mobility Equipment or Daily Living Aids and Mobility Equipment – Short Form.
MASS-eApply has a new form: Daily Living Aids and Mobility Equipment – Short Form. This form can be used to submit application requests for basic items that are on SOA only, including: Static or 3-in-1 commodes, over toilet aids, bath transfer benches, swivel bathseats, static shower chairs or stools, and wheeled walking aids.
MASS Equipment Services has completed their trial of basic mobility aids – manual wheelchairs, TIS manual wheelchairs and power wheelchairs.
Due to equipment availability and staffing constraints, the MASS stocklists and reallocation program of stock items from the Brisbane warehouse is temporarily on hold.
