First Nations Immunisation Course Preceptor Program
Course outline
As a First Nations Immunisation Course Preceptor you will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and health practitioners to complete theoretical and clinical requirements of this course in their workplace or a nominated workplace.
This online module is designed to help support you in your role as a First Nations Immunisation Course Preceptor.
Careers and outcomes
You will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and a minimum of 4 hour Continuing Professional Development (CPD) upon successful completion of the 'required learning' in the online module. You can independently record any additional professional development hours.
Admission criteria
You must hold current registration with your national registration body in Australia e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Board of Medical Board or Australia Society for Physician’s Assistants. You may hold valid Immunisation qualification to practice as an authorised immunisation provider in Queensland.
Experience and competency in a relevant immunisation setting is required to supervise students completing theory and placement. You will be required to complete a Preceptor Nomination Form to become a registered Cunningham Centre Preceptor and supply a copy of your current resume.

Entry into this program is via a self- enrolment process following approval of your expression of interest by the Cunningham Centre First Nations Immunisation Course Nurse Educator.
