Our commitment to end of life care

We give people who are nearing the end of their life the highest quality care and support. Learn about our commitments to end of life care.

We also have a clinical network that leads decisions and gives expert advice about palliative and end of life care in Queensland. Learn more about the Queensland Palliative Care Clinical Network.

End of life care standards and quality

We follow the end of life care standards set by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. Their resources and tools help to support safe, high quality end of life care in our Hospitals and Health Services.

Hospitals and health services can also use our measuring and improving end of life care framework (PDF 711 kB) to develop a plan for collecting and using performance data to improve service quality.
