Patient Safety Net

Patient Safety Net is a new way for staff to escalate patient safety concerns. The program provides the flexibility for staff to remain anonymous while addressing some of the barriers to reporting and responding to patient safety concerns.

Patient Safety Net is being piloted in 4 Hospital and Health Services.

Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights

The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights allows patients, consumers, families, carers and service providers to have a common understanding of the rights of people receiving health care.

Patient safety health directive

The Patient safety health directive applies to all Hospital and Health Services.

Patient Safety and Quality

The Patient Safety and Quality is responsible for monitoring and supporting Hospital and Health Services to minimise patient harm, reduce unwarranted variations in health care and to achieve high-quality patient-centred care.
