Clinical protocols, guidelines and forms
Queensland Health has developed clinical practice guidelines and protocols, which guide pharmacist management of the conditions and services included within the community pharmacy pilots.
These protocols and guidelines detail the parameters of the pharmacist intervention or service, including requirements for:
- assessment and investigations
- therapeutic and non-therapeutic management
- monitoring and review
- referral and collaboration with other members of the patient’s multidisciplinary healthcare team.
