Hormonal Contraception Pilot

The parameters of the additional activities that can be provided under the Queensland Community Pharmacy Hormonal Contraception Pilot are set out in the Extended Practice Authority—Pharmacists, available on the legislation, standards and extended practice authorities page.

Pharmacists and pharmacy owners who wish to provide services as part of the Contraception Pilot must meet defined participation requirements and be authorised by Queensland Health, before they can deliver pilot services.

These requirements are detailed in the Extended Practice Authority–Pharmacists and in the Queensland Community Pharmacy Hormonal Contraception Pilot handbook (PDF 5319 kB).
