Participation requirements

To enable services to be delivered as part of the pilots, the Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Regulation 2021 has been amended to enable participating pharmacists to undertake additional medicines management and prescribing activities.

Specific legislative provisions and participation requirements apply to both pilots, and pharmacists and pharmacy owners must meet the participation requirements and be authorised by Queensland Health before they can deliver pilot services.

For further information on how to deliver services as part of either pilot, refer to the Information guide for pharmacy owners and pharmacists (PDF 1964 kB).

Pharmacy owners who wish to participate in a Queensland community pharmacy pilot can apply using the registration form.

If a pharmacy is already authorised to participate in a pilot and wishes to register an additional pharmacist/s to participate, please contact the Pilot Coordination Team at QLD-PharmacyScopePilot@health.qld.gov.au.

For further information about participating in either pilot, please email QLD-PharmacyScopePilot@health.qld.gov.au.
