Current accreditation status

Prevocational training programs and terms must be accredited prior to the commencement of a PGY1 (post-graduate year one) doctor or PGY2 (postgraduate year two) doctor in the relevant term. Prevocational Medical Accreditation Queensland (PMAQ) is accredited by the Australian Medical Council as a PGY1 training accreditation authority and is approved by the national health ministers to deliver PGY2 accreditation services. PMAQ accredits PGY1 and PGY2 training programs and terms in Queensland.

Prevocational training providers are encouraged to regularly ensure the accuracy of this information, including the number of accredited terms and the term name. PMAQ is to be advised of changes to programs or terms via the Change in Circumstance procedure.
