Re-prioritisation of surplus Home and Community Care funds

In response to the impact of recent natural disasters in the state, the Queensland Home and Community Care (HACC) program has reviewed capital funding processes for 2010-11.

Organisations are being offered the opportunity to review surplus requests made through the 2009-10 HACC Annual Financial Return (AFR) process and re-prioritise according to the new guidelines outlined in the Re-prioritisation of surplus Home and Community Care fact sheet. These guidelines reflect a significant change to the existing processes which allowed requests for only a limited range of purposes.  Requests can be made to the Home and Community Care branch using the Request to re-prioritise surplus funds form.

Meals on Wheels

A separate process will be run for Meals on Wheels organisations to reflect different contracting arrangements.

Meals on Wheels organisations that have unspent funds from 2009-10 (identified through the reconciliation process) will receive a letter from the Home and Community Care branch outlining how to request retention of these unspent funds.
